The church is constructed with layers of laminated glass and is finished with shaded green staining. The church is surrounded by cast glass fingers attached to a white wooden platform. The artist told the Cohen’s that she used her fingers to make the molds for the cast glass fingers in this sculpture. Inscribed on the underside of the Church “For Ivan Cohen “Here’s the Church…Here’s all the People” Mary Kay Simoni Copyright 1990″. SIZE: Platform is 10″ sq. Overall 15-3/4″ t to top of church. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Ivan Cohen. CONDITION: Some minor loss of staining to church, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-62884 (1,000-1,500)
