TWO LIVE STEAM ENGINES. The first is of German manufacture and is a traction style steam engine with a nickel plated boiler. Retains an original tag that instructs the operator that it is a reversible engine as well. Chain driven flywheel activates the rear drive, propelling the vehicle forward. Second is a J & E Stevens upright steam engine fancifully colored in green with a multitude of highlighting colors. Included is the original wooden dovetail box for this toy with original label. SIZE: Each is 8-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Overall excellent to near mint, both engines show little evidence of wear. 1-7064 JL (2,000-3,000)
