EDWARD LOYAL FIELD (American, 1856-1914) CABIN BY THE LAKE. Outstanding large oil on canvas landscape scene shows a path with swing gate open, leading beside a rustic house nestled under large trees with a glimpse of a lake beyond. There are colorful flowers in the grass beside the path and the sky is blue with billowing clouds. Signed lower left. Housed in its original magnificent gesso decorated wide frame with multiple gilt liners. The nicest example of this artist’s work that we have sold or seen. SIZE: 30″ x 25″.
