STEVAN DOHANOS (AMERICAN, 1907-1994) INTO DARK AFRICA. Large watercolor illustration shows a safari preparing at river’s edge with many natives helping the unloading of several boats. The native guide stands in front of three men and a woman who appear to be the expedition’s leaders. We are told that this is a two-page illustrated spread in the Saturday Evening Post from the 1940s/50s. Signed lower right and housed in a decorative frame with tan mottled mat.
