18TH CENTURY STERLING AND CUT GLASS CRUET SET. The castor carrying hallmarks of Thomas Daniel, London, 1780. The exquisite pierce work, engraved and gadrooned castor holder fitted with five cut receptacles, each with sterling handles or tops. The workmanship of silver and glass is exquisite. The underside of the silver castor has a supporting metal plate which is not of sterling. The castor, however, is sterling and is clearly marked with the sterling hallmark. SIZE: (approx.) 10-1/2” h. CONDITION: The silver castor is in generally very good condition, however many of the bottles have some roughness. 9-94636 (1,000-1,500)
