FIVE RUSSIAN LACQUERED BOXES. Wonderful group of Russian artisan lacquered boxes in unusual shapes with lift tops and beautifully enameled scenes of Russian countryside and life. One box is in the shape of a book with enameled scenes on front, back and spline and appears to be older than the other contemporary boxes. Each box, except for the book is artist signed. SIZE: From 3-1/4″ to 7-1/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ. CONDITION: Book shaped box has piece missing from edge of lid and minor scuffs and bruises, otherwise the lot is very good to excellent. 5-68391-4 (300-500)
