DAVID YORKE (American, 20th/21st Century) “THE HUNTED”. Oil on wood panel portrait of a Native American wearing a Union blue jacket with bow and arrow in hands. His face is painted and he holds an arrow in his mouth. A fur lined quiver rests off his back and three vultures fly in a gray sky. Signed lower left and dated “2004”. Housed in a modern gilt frame with gilt liner. The frame having a Trailside Galleries, Jackson, Wyoming label. This artist is best known for his Native American portraiture of which this is a fine example. SIZE: 20″ x 30″. PROVENANCE: From a private New Hampshire collector.
