CAST IRON “TOONERVILLE TROLLEY” W/ORIGINAL BOX. Manufactured by The Dent Hardware Co. & licensed by Geo. Borgfeldt and Co. A great whimsical comical toy from the late 20s, early 30s, in the likeness of the “Toonerville Folks.” The nickel-plated eccentric wheels gave the lifelike action that the cartoon portrayed. A fine, all-original example in green enamel with red, orange and gilt highlighting. SIZE: 4 1/2”. CONDITION: Excellent original condition. JL 1-3890 (1,000-1,200)
