ANTHONY THIEME (American, 1888-1954) TRANQUIL HARBOR. Oil on canvas scene shows several sailboats in a tranquil harbor with the closest two-mast sailboat with figures aboard and two in a small rowboat beside. Everything reflects in the calm water and the sun is poking through the overcast sky. Early work is stamped on back of canvas “Anthony Thieme Boston, Mass”. Appears to be unsigned on the front. Housed in a partial gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 25” x 30”. CONDITION: There is an unrestored 4” T-shaped tear above right mast and a small tear at right corner.
