FINE FEDERAL MAHOGANY & SATIN BIRCH TILT-TOP CANDLESTAND. Circa 1810, New England. The unusual segmented veneered oval top hinged and tilting on a ring-turned swelled standard raised on a tripod base of outward scrolling arched legs terminating in well defined spade feet. SIZE: 29″ h. Top: 21-1/2″ l x 13-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Professionally cleaned and repolished old surfaces. One foot with old repair, reapplied to leg.
