SET OF FOUR BIRD CAGE WINDSOR SIDE CHAIRS. Early 19th century. Cage form crest of typical form above 7 spindles, the stiles and spindles back curved. Each with shaped saddle plank seat raised on splayed cylindrical simulated bamboo turned legs joined by box stretcher. SIZE: 34-1/4″ h of back, 18″ h of seat. PROVENANCE: Found with the early furnishings within this 18th Century CT home. CONDITION: One with old stress cracks in cresting, otherwise good. All with later surfaces. 9-27930 (400-600)
