FINE SILK HEREKE RUG. 20th century, Turkey. Finely woven in a muted soft palate depicting a classical urn emitting a large floral arrangement in pale pink, pastel green, and blue, interspersed with claret flower heads beneath arabesque vinery culminating in a turquoise floral bloom on a cream ground with dense floral vinery, all within a claret red burnished gold and a soft yellow main border of arabesques and scrolling floral vinery. Within the border is Arabic calligraphy. SIZE: 3’11” x 2’8″ (excluding fringe). CONDITION: Very good. No imperfections, damages or restorations noted.
