BENJAMIN ALBERT STAHL (American, 1910-1987) HOPING FOR A SAFE RETURN. Watercolor wartime scene shows a woman on her porch looking out over a landscape with three fighters flying left to right. Signed lower left “Stahl”. Housed in a decorative modern frame with wide brown matte having cutout for description. Description indicates that the watercolor hung in the Administration Building of Bell Aircraft Company at Niagara Falls Municipal Airport until 1944, when the facility was taken over by American Airlines.
