NEW ENGLAND CHIPPENDALE BIRCH SLANT-LID DESK. The rectangular dovetailed case with thumb-molded hinged lid opening to an arrangement of valanced pigeon holes over a row of five small drawers stepped back above a row of three drawers. The case fitted with four thumb-molded graduated long drawers, the upper most flanked by lopers, all on a simple molded base raised on bracket feet with shaped returns. SIZE: 42″ h x 35″ w of case x 19″ d. CONDITION: Original surfaces throughout and with original hardware and feet. Top three drawers each with damages to proper upper left corner.
