EDWARD LEIBOWITZ GLASS SCULPTURE. Very interesting glass sculpture by Edward Leibowitz starts with a three sided clear glass enclosure with a credenza in the center. Credenza has an acid cut panel in the back depicting a grotesque long necked man with woman’s body on a unicycle next to a grotesque bird. On top of the credenza is a framed portrait of a man in blue and frosted glass. Behind the credenza on the back wall is a large glass disk with amber border and mottled blue and frosted swirling background. Center of the disk is molded with a grotesque face of a man with mustache, beard and large nose. Sculpture is signed on the bottom “Leibowitz 86”. SIZE: 11-3/4″ w x 14-1/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Ivan Cohen. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with tiny shallow flake to edge of base. 5-62889 (1,000-2,000)
