FINE NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL PAINT DECORATED DRESSING TABLE. Last quarter 18th century, probably Portsmouth, NH. The rectangular pine table with shaped top, surmounted by a central glove box, fitted with drawer, all above the rectangular frieze, raised on square, tapered legs. The drawer front and frieze decorated with fruit and floral sprays, all within ochre banding on a chrome yellow ground. Each leg banded and headed with swag decorations. SIZE: Overall: 30″ h, table top: 26-1/2″ h, 35″ w x 18-1/2 d CONDITION: Very good, untouched original condition, showing age appropriate minimal wear. 9-27800 (1,400-1,800)
