ENGLISH MAHOGANY GILT METAL MOUNTED BRACKET CLOCK. Mid 19th Century. The sarcophagus top with cast brass carrying handle, the frieze mounted with cast brass cherubs above the case with outset corners, glass paneled sides, the glass paneled door opening to a silver dial beneath two subsidiary rings centering time, strike and musical aperture all on a brass filigree faceplate. The brass eight day movement with striking mechanism of five hammers striking coils, the whole with cast brass ormolu mounts raised on flattened scroll feet. SIZE: 15-1/2″h x 11″w x 7-3/4″ overall.
