SPECTACULAR BING FOR BASSETT-LOWKE FLYING SCOTSMAN LIVE STEAM ENGINE. A huge 4-6-2 locomotive with an 8-wheel tender. This British outline train comes with its original test track, which is a rare occurrence in itself. In remarkably fine original condition for a live steam engine, it shows only minimal paint loss to the engine and very minor paint lifting to small section of tender top. This toy has been on display for over 40 years in a private New Hampshire home as well as many of the live steam trains and other toys being sold in this sale. SIZE: Overall length is 43″, engine and tender measure 38″. Approximate outside width of track is 2-3/4″. CONDITION: Extremely fine all original condition with minimal paint loss to frame of engine and paint lifting as described earlier. 1-7283 JL (4,000-8,000)
