FULL BODIED EAGLE COPPER WEATHERVANE. Late 19th/early 20th century, New England. This molded copper example of fierce displayed eagle perched on a copper ball with mid-molding above an arrow. Surfaces with a blend of old gilding and verdigris. Now mounted on a modern wood stand. SIZE: 16-1/2″ h x 24-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Structurally good with some bending to wing tips and arrow fletches. Weathervane retains old, crusty surfaces verdigris and gilding as previously noted. Seams now visible but tight. Generally good. 9-29680 (3,500-4,500)
