RARE SHEET IRON ANGEL GABRIEL WEATHERVANE. Late 19th century, New England. The finely wrought graphic chisel cut form in heavy sheet iron with copper rivets, depicting Gabriel blowing his horn. Joined to original iron mounting rod, now on a later wood block stand. SIZE: 16″ overall height, 23-3/4 long. CONDITION: Very good untouched condition with age appropriate pitted rusted surfaces, giving a rich reddish-brown patina. 9-27808 (2,500-3,500)
