TIFFANY STUDIOS JONQUIL DAFFODIL TABLE LAMP. Stunning leaded shade is a rarity in Tiffany because it uses two flowers in one design which is very seldom seen in Tiffany shades. The shade begins with large flowers with yellow, gold and white striated glass set against a multitude of greens representing the foliage with blue glass at the very top of the shade that symbolizes the sky. The top border is of trumpet Narcissi (true Daffodils) and are arranged in two staggered rows. The lower border is composed of two rows of nicely mottled white milky glass with rippled yellow glass depicting the open faces of the Narcissi (Jonquil) flowers. The shade ends in a soft blue geometric band with many earthen colors striated into each panel. There are several types of glass used in this shade which make it simply sparkle and gives it a warmth that only Tiffany shades posses. The shade is supported by a massive Tiffany bronze base that has a gold dore finish and begins with a stylized floral pattern on the stem and recedes into a pulled leaf design at bottom of stem and ends with a circular foot decorated with a foliate pattern. Base is completed with three sockets and top cap with acorn finial. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1917”. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 538”. SIZE: Shade is 20″ dia. Lamp is 30″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-69789 (100,000-150,000)
