IMPORTANT PAIR OF WEDGWOOD BLUE AND WHITE URNS AND PEDESTALS. Late 18th-early 19th century. Each decorated in white relief with classical figures and mythological scenes, beneath ribbon-tied grapevine swags, the matching pedestal surrounded by anthemion and laurel leaf bands, the handles applied with mask medallions, the body applied with swan’s heads. Each piece impressed “WEDGWOOD”, “D” or “V”, and numeral “128”. SIZE: Each: 18-3/4″ overall h. Vase: 12-1/4″ h. Pedestal: 6-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine home.
