GIANNI TOSO SHABBAT DINNER. Wonderful and detailed Gianni Toso glass sculpture depicts a traditional Jewish family enjoying their shabbat dinner. The table is adorned with a carafe of wine, two loaves of bread, a candelabra and a centerpiece of flowers. The mother has a candle in hand in which she is lighting the other candles of the candelabra while the father and son are each holding a glass of wine and reciting from a prayer book. Table is blown with amethyst glass pedestal and legs with a clear glass top inset with two rows of millefiori cane. Figures rest on a platform of blue and white millefiori surrounded by a brass frame. Signed on the bottom right corner “Toso 88”. SIZE: 7-3/4″ t x 10-1/4″ sq.
