TWO FRAMED MAPS: EUROPE; ITALY. Both identically housed in ripple edged modern frames with fancy mats. Both taken out of an atlas. 1. Plate 14, title, “NOVA ITALIAE DESCRIPTIO, IN REGNA, RESPUBLICAS ET STATUS DIVISAE AD USUM SERENISSIMI BURGUNDIAE DUCIS”. The French map marked “PARIS BY H. IAILLOT. No date (probably 19th century). 2. Plate 6, title, “NOVA EUROPAE DESCRIPTIO, IN REGNA & REGIONES PRAECIPUAS DIVISAE AD USUM SERENISSIMI BURGUNDIAE DUCIS”. Marked “AMSTERDAM BY PIERRIE MORTIER”. No date (probably 19th century). Originally published for the Duke of Burgundy, 1705. SIZE: Sight size: 20-1/2″ x 24-1/4″. CONDITION: Generally in very good condition with no tears or rips; fold crease at center. 9-20339 (500-1,000)
