FINE HEPPLEWHITE INLAID MAHOGANY LIQUOR CABINET. First quarter 19th century. This lovely custom cabinet fitted with a pair of fine cut-glass decanters, the cabinet of matched veneers centering a crossbanded bird’s-eye maple rectangular panel, all with contrasting string inlays, the sides inlaid and fitted with brass carrying handles, the single hinged door with inlaid bone escutcheon, mounted with an oval figured maple patera, the whole raised on flared French feet with shaped and scalloped apron. SIZE: 18″ h. x 16″ overall w. x 7″ overall d. CONDITION: The oval panel with old shrinkage cracks in veneer. Locks, hinges, and hardware all appear original. The whole professionally repolished with very nice patina and mellow color. 9-93670 (1,200-2,000)
