TIFFANY STUDIOS PEONY BORDER FLOOR LAMP. Fully leaded shade has thirty-six vertical panels of geometric glass and eighteen horizontal rows. These geometric glass panels are heavily mottled in an ethereal blue-green coloration. The large band of peony flowers are represented in every stage of bloom; buds consists of deep red colors with striations of purple and blue, while the petals of the peony in full bloom are deep rouge with cream and blue striations with vibrant yellow-orange centers. The peony, in its final stages of bloom, are shown in pink, green and lavender. The foliage of the peony bush is shown in a multitude of greens from spring green to apple green ending in emerald with blue mottling. Completing this border is a heavily rippled geometric row of vibrant green hues with the final border panels constructed in blues, pinks and greens. Set behind this peony border is a vibrant mottled blue glass which replicates the sky. This touch of blue makes the shade simply come alive with a three dimensional quality. The peony shade, regardless of size, was a Tiffany Studios favorite and this example is absolutely one of the finest. The shade is supported by a senior floor base with applied bronze tendrils on stem ending in an Art Nouveau circular pattern on cushioned platform. This platform is supported by bronze ball feet. The base is complete with six sockets and pig tail top cap. The allover lamp carries a designable patina finish. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1574”. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 375”. SIZE: Shade is 24″ dia. Lamp is 78″ t. CONDITION: The shade is very good to excellent with very few, if any hairlines.
