SOUTHERN FEDERAL INLAID MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD, SOUTH CAROLINA. Circa 1810. The rectangular top with string-inlaid edge and bowfront central section above the conforming case; the bowfront central drawer with string-inlaid panels centering an oval patera within a satinwood inlaid panel, above a pair of cupboard doors flanked by a bank of two short drawers and a bottle drawer, raised on four frontal string-inlaid legs with banded cuffs. SIZE: 40″ h. x 65″ l. x 26″ d. PROVENANCE: Stradling Antiques, Philadelphia. From a fine home in Bucksport, Maine. CONDITION: Professionally repolished and restored, with period brasses (not original), losses to cuff banding. Otherwise very good overall. 9-93147 (15,000-20,000)
