EARLY AMERICAN PINE AND BIRCH TAVERN TABLE. Late 18th century or earlier, Pennsylvania. The rectangular two board top projecting above the molded frieze, fitted with three aligned drawers, raised on baluster-turned and blocked legs, joined by mortised H-form stretcher. SIZE: 30-1/2″ h x 77″ l x 33″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine coastal Westerly, Rhode Island estate. CONDITION: Table retains good old scrubbed surfaces, with good color and patina.
