SUNDERLAND LUSTRE JUG AND DOULTON TRANSFER-DECORATED HUMIDOR. Second half 19th century. England. Transfer decorated jug with two panels of clipper ships, panel of verse, panel titled “JACKS SAFE RETURN.” Royal Doulton transfer-decorated humidor with portrait of Sir Walter Raleigh. Reverse decorated with sailing ship, everted rim decorated with flotilla of sailing ships against yellow sky. SIZE: Jug: 7″ h. Humidor: 6-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Jug has hairline crack proper right side of spout and with overall craquelure. Humidor, overall very good but missing lid. 9-24637 (300-500)
