TIFFANY STUDIOS TURTLEBACK TABLE LAMP. Green chunk jewel turtlebacks are the focal point of this otherwise geometric shade. While the turtlebacks are basically green, their deep iridescent finish shows them to be blue and purple when unlit. The geometric panels give range to entire scope of the color green. Beginning with several panels of green and white striated glass to apple green panels receding to emerald and finally bluish-green. These colorful panels are randomly entwined throughout the shade. The shade is supported by a handsome bronze base that Tiffany Studios referred to as the Indian base. This base carries a fabulous green brown patina finish with lots of red. The base has three sockets, riser, wheel, pierced teardrop top cap and finial. Shade is unsigned. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 528”. SIZE: Shade is 20″ dia. Lamp is 29″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with few, if any hairlines. 5-62019 (45,000-55,000)
