REMBRANDT VAN RIJIN (Dutch, 1606-1669) “ST. JEROME KNEELING IN PRAYER, LOOKING DOWN”. 102, Bartsch. Etching on paper shows a man kneeling with hands clasped looking down in prayer. Housed in a modern thin gilt frame with ivory matte. The etching is partially adhered to one side of backing paper allowing to visually inspect most of the back. SIZE: 4-7/8″ x 3-1/2″ (size of sheet). Plate mark is 4-1/2″ x 3-1/8″. CONDITION: Very good, examined out of frame. 9-95796 (3,000-5,000)
