HAFFENREFFER BREWERY FAMILY GALLEON WEATHERVANE. First quarter 20th century. This fine and large sheet metal example with zinc prow, cast with the initials “RFH” (Rudolph F. Haffenreffer). Although we do not know precisely from which family property this was taken, we can attest to the authenticity of the weathervane. This weathervane is accompanied by a stand of later date. SIZE: Weathervane: 28-1/2″ h x 44-1/2″ w. Overall with stand: 45″ h. PROVENANCE: Purportedly from the Estate of Rudolph F. Haffenreffer of Bristol, RI. CONDITION: Very good condition with authentic patina. Some minor restoration. 9-98157 (2,000-4,000)
