GEORGE WALDRON POWDER HORN. Circa 1759, New York. Profusely decorated depicting a map, overall with various forts and towns presumably through which Mr. Waldron travelled. Beginning in the North with Lake George, and descending down through locations such as Fort Edward, Fort Hunt, Fort Miles, Saratoga, Half Moon, Stillwatr, Sknetey, Albany, Gles House, and finally at the base of the powder horn, New York. The powder horn decorated in fine detail with mellow patina overall. SIZE: Overall: 16″ l. CONDITION: An old shrinkage split at base of horn. Otherwise wood fitting with original surfaces and patina. 9-28795 (5,000-7,000)
