G. ARGY ROUSSEAU PATE-DE-VERRE POPPIES VASE. Extremely nice G. Argy-Rousseau vase is done in the Poppies pattern with three groups of three poppies each encircling the vase. The orange poppies have green and brown centers with black stems held together with a yellow band. The poppy decoration is set against a cream colored background mottled with yellows, oranges and browns. Signed on the side “G. Argy Rousseau”. The vase is pictured in book G. Argy-Rousseau: Glassware As Art by Janine Bloch-Dermant; Catalogue Raisonne Section, pg. 197, fig. 24.5. It is the nicest example of this vase that we have had the privilege of selling.
