TIFFANY STUDIOS CARVED VASE. Extremely rare and important and possibly one of a kind carved vase is decorated with white padded poppies with green foliage, brown stems and an iridescent shouldered rim. Carved into the vase, the leaves and stems are given a three dimensional quality. The white padding is extremely well done and also shows superior craftsmanship. All of this is on a dark gold iridescent to matte ground having a baluster form. Signed on the underside “LC Tiffany Favrile 8855C”. According to the original Tiffany Registry Numbers by Years, this vase dates back to 1908. In 40+ years of auctioneering, this is the first time we have seen a padded Tiffany vase of this magnitude.
