Outstanding oil on mahogany panel shows a well clothed man with tri-corner hat standing beside a green closed gate holding a butterfly net and a tin container. He looks up at a sign “Passage Interoit” beyond the sign is a flowering tree with bright yellow butterfly. He contemplates the trespass. Signed upper right “A. Schill”. Housed in a fine gesso decorated gilt modern frame with artist plaque. SIZE: 17-1/4” x 13-1/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-74744 MD (1,250-1,750)
