FINE NEW ENGLAND CHIPPENDALE CHILD’S MINIATURE BLANKET CHEST. Last quarter 18th century, possibly Boston. The rectangular hinged lid with molded ends opening to an interior in cobalt blue paint. The case fitted with a pair of aligned short drawers above a long drawer. All with incised edges. The case sides with shaped bootjack ends. The front apron with pierced demilune decorations alternating with scalloping. SIZE: 18-1/4″ h x 16″ w x 8-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Overall good with second surfaces lock and hinges appear original.
