ABRAHAM MILLAR POWDER HORN. Circa July 14, 1784. “Mad*unBordy*Betsey* July* y 14* 1784″ within a fanciful fish plaque surrounded by other fish. The reverse depicting an American three-masted ship under full sail with fanciful fantail and exaggerated figurehead. In addition, the horn is scrimmed with other unusual symbols including sun and moon, a figure with coolie hat and a large brick building, a mask scrimmed in the roof. SIZE: Overall: 15-1/2” l. CONDITION: Very good overall with mellow color and patina. 9-28794 (5,000-7,000)
