UNSIGNED (16th/17th Century) PROFILE OF A NUN. Unframed oil on wood panel half portrait of a nun wearing black outfit. Her hands together in prayer and around her head is a design which has been punch decorated. The board is curved and has significant insect damage to reverse and also has three spliced sections at corners. SIZE: 25″ x 12″. CONDITION: As noted above, restoration with inpainting. 9-96858 (2,500-3,000)
