The oval bottom section having a glued penny to base dated “1979”. A turned ivory clasp holds it tight. The bottom having a carved inscription “MADE BY MICHAEL KANE 1979 FOR LULU LOVELL NANTUCKET ISLAND”. SIZE: Basket 7-1/4″ h (without handle); 12″ h (w/handle) by 12″ l.
