FRANCIS PATRICK MARTIN (British, 1883-1966) NATURE’S SIRENS. Large oil on canvas colorful scene shows three young women near lake under large tree. Two are standing clothed in red & lime colored robes, another is half clad seated below the tree. Signed lower right. Housed in a magnificent gesso decorated gilt frame. Born in Anstruther, Scotland, trained at and later president of Glasgow School of Art Works of the artist are in the permanent exhibit at the Glasgow Museum. SIZE: 50-1/4″ x 40-1/4″.
