SIGNED (American/French, 19th Century) AFTER THE HUNT. Oil on canvas hunting scene shows a blue jacketed hunter dressing a recently shot deer with his two hunting dogs beside. He has hung his hunting pouch on a nearby branch and there is a small clearing with thick woods. Signed lower left indistinctly, possibly Wyant or Wyeth. Housed in an antique gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 18-1/2″ x 21-3/4″. CONDITION: Relined with some minor inpainting. 9-22876 (1,000-1,500)
