PAUL JACOULET (FRENCH, 1902-1960) “LES DEUX ADVERSAIRES (GAUCHE) COREE”. Signed in pencil lower left, above the arrow seal. Seals of the carver, Kentaro Maeda, and printer Tetsunosuke Honda, lower right margin. Published 5 December, 1950. This print represents North Korea and is one of two that symbolize the conflict in Korea at the 38th parallel in the early 1950s. They were dedicated to former U.S. President, Harry S. Truman. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with white mat. SIZE: Sight size: 16″ x 12-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good. Not examined out of frame. 9-97099 (500-800)
