BRACE-BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR & FAN-BACK SIDE CHAIR. 19th century. The armchair with curved crest rail above turned spindles and baluster-turned stiles joined to outward curved oak arm rests with scrolled knuckle grips, centering a shaped pine plank saddle seat, raised on simulated bamboo turned splayed legs joined by a swelled H-form stretcher. The side chair with serpentine crest and scrolled volutes, raised on baluster-turned stiles joined to a shaped saddle seat, raised on turned splayed legs joined by a swelled ring-turned H-form stretcher. SIZE: 1st: 44-1/4″ h. of back x 17″ h. of seat. 2nd: 35-3/4″ h. of back x 17-1/2″ h. of seat. CONDITION: Both chairs in very good original condition. Good color and patina.
