ATTRIBUTED TO CONRAD FRIETAG (American, 1802-1894) #18 PILOT BOAT “ENCHANTRESS”. Unsigned watercolor scene shows the green & white hulled two-mast pilot boat in full sail sailing right to left with a large “18” on the back sail and “Enchantress” pennant off tall mast. Two large ships are seen on each side, all under blue & white cloud sky. Housed in a Victorian walnut frame with gilt liner & modern white matte. SIZE: Sight: 7-1/2″ x 12″.
