INCREDIBLE STEIFF FELIX THE CAT ON IRISH MAIL. Appealing, rare, near mint, and desirable are just a few of the words that could possibly describe this toy. Felix sitting upon his bellows seat will propel the Irish Mail forward, pumping and leaning back as the bellows (non functional) make a squeaking sound. Believed to be of 1920s vintage, this is quite possibly one of the rarest Felix toys to surface in many years. Even retaining its original script Steiff button with remnants of paper tag. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Near mint, tail is intact but appears wire within is broken. 1-7408 JL (4,000-8,000)
