NEW ENGLAND PINE SEA CHEST IN BLUE-GRAY PAINT. Late 18th – early 19th century. American. Rectangular dovetailed chest with hinged lid opening to interior fitted with till. Interior lid with chalk inscriptions, mostly illegible but including “Weeks/Chest”. Case ends fitted with Becket brackets. SIZE: 16-1/2″ h x 42-1/2″ l x 16-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Structurally good, lid of till missing, edges of lid with old nail holes, original iron hinges present. 9-24462 (275-375)
