MATILDA BERNARD (European, 19th Century) THE FRIGHTENED FLOCK. Oil on canvas winter scene shows a huddled flock of sheep amidst a snowstorm. Two sheep dogs look on equally frightened and a woman is seen holding a cross in the background. Signed lower right. Housed in its original gesso decorated wide frame with losses. SIZE: 26″ x 40″.
