RARE AND IMPORTANT GALLE VASE. Beautiful pedestal form vase is of an aqua-ice hue with milky aqua to white snow and ice-covered trees, with the main focal point being an enameled bird in bright russet and earthen colors. The pedestal foot is heavily textured to replicate ice. Vase is inscribed in cameo “Dans les neiges en fleur le jeune an souriait” in the snow towards the top of the vase which translates to “in the snows in flower the young year smiled”. Signed in cameo “Galle” under enameled bird. SIZE: 13″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-69975 (8,000-12,000)
