GALLE MARQUETRY VASE. An exceptionally outstanding Galle vase has rich amethyst body shading to amber at the lip. The vase is further decorated with marquetry wheel carved flowers with brilliant foil inclusions as well as marquetry lily pad type leaves and stems. The vase with superior workmanship and excellent color is finished with an applied amber foot. Signed on the side with a very nice engraved Oriental style signature “Galle”. SIZE: 9-1/4″ t.
